Ei Clutch Let Down Tool - For Airheads '70-'80 except R65
One tool includes all 3 pieces pictured.
This tool is required to let the tension down gradually on the clutch pack during disassembly, and also to draw the clutch down during assembly.
Disassembly: remove three of the six clutch bolts, install the three Clutch Let Down tools until threads are bottomed in the holes where you removed the clutch bolts. Screw down nut all three sleeves until they are fully seated against pressure plate. Remove final three clutch bolts. With only the tools holding the clutch pack in place, gradually turn each nut sleeve equally until clutch is loose and can be removed from flywheel.
Assembly: Fit new clutch into place, install the three Let Down tools until bottomed in flywheel. Fit clutch pilot tool such as our TOA12653 to center the clutch. Gradually tighten all three nut sleeves equally until clutch is fully compressed. Install three screws and torque to spec. Remove the three Let Down tools, install final three clutch screws and torque to spec.
